Statistically, approximately 25% of men experience this form of baldness by age 30, with around two-thirds affected by age 60. Men with insufficient testosterone levels do not develop this pattern, underscoring the hormone’s role in the condition.
The PRP treatment process begins with the collection of 54 milliliters of the patient's blood, which is then combined with an anticoagulant. The blood is centrifuged to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other components. The scalp is prepared with a sterilizing solution, and the concentrated PRP, about 11 milliliters, is injected into the scalp at a depth of 4 millimeters using specialized syringes. Visible results typically manifest within four months.
The PRP procedure usually lasts between one and one-and-a-half hours. The frequency of treatments depends on the extent of hair loss, with some patients requiring multiple sessions to achieve optimal results.
