If your neck is beginning to show vertical bands, wrinkles or saggy skin, the Neck Lift Treatment Center offers neck rejuvenation to slow or reverse the signs of aging. Neck rejuvenation, also called a nonsurgical neck lift, is perfect for any patient with signs of aging in the neck, whether mild or severe. Dr. Gary will select which cosmetic procedure or procedures that would be most beneficial to you.
We use a combination approach to give you the most beautiful neck using a non-surgical neck lift. When you come to us for neck rejuvenation, we don’t simply do any single procedure. Instead, we take our time which is necessary to learn about your cosmetic goals, as well as perform our own examination to find out which cosmetic procedures will be most beneficial and give you the best results from a nonsurgical neck lift Park Avenue has to offer you.
Our goal is to give you comfortable, effective neck rejuvenation, right in our Park Avenue office.
Non-Surgical Treatments Overview
Many approaches to the Non - Surgical Neck Lift can be properly performed. One way is using Botox injected to the neck to get rid of the light wrinkles that are starting to gravitate.
Botox, the popular injectable age-eraser which has been effective for expression lines in the forehead and crow's feet around the eyes by relaxing the muscle underneath. In the neck area targets the platysma muscle near the surface. All Patients have a muscle that comes around the bottom of their jawline and it crisscrosses in the middle.
Botox injections have been used to relax the platysmal bands and make the neck look younger. Excellent results occur after a week to 10 days, but sometimes the patients already noticed a difference. Botox can interfere with swallowing if it is injected too deeply in neck, so finding an experienced board certified Dermatologist is obligatory.
Most often the procedure needs to be repeated every five to six months.
Other Non-Surgical Neck Lift Treatments
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) Chemical peels Ultherapy Radio Frequency Non-ablative laser therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an inpatient treatment which stimulates the body’s own collagen-building powers. An infusion of platelets have been shown to speed healing of damaged tissues, decrease inflammation and pain, and strengthen connective tissue. The procedure is painless and can be repeated every four – six weeks, until you see the results you want.
Because the treatment uses the patient’s own blood platelets, there is no risk of complications.
Chemical peels are another treatment that seem to have been around forever. While frequently applied to the face, they are also a viable way to tighten the neck and hands– two areas that give the most visible clues to a woman’s age.
Prodding Collagen Growth To Reverse Sagging Skin
Ultherapy is the only FDA-approved procedure for face- and neck-lifting. With this technique, a special probe injects heat into the lower layers of the skin. The heat stimulates the body’s natural growth of collagen. Aging skin loses its ability to resist gravity, but the regeneration of collagen restores that function. You’ll see results after just one treatment; the treatment can then be repeated every few years.
With radio frequency, an electrical impulse is delivered to the skin, which responds to the warmth by tightening and regaining elasticity. Six weekly sessions are usually sufficient to produce results, which continue to improve for up to six months. Beneficial effects can last five to ten years.
Non-ablative lasers are a non-abrasive type of skin scrub. This laser treatment is gentler on the outer epidermal layers even as it stimulates collagen production in the layers beneath the skin. Because non-ablative lasers generate less energy, they can reach the inner layer of skin without visible damage.
It is vital to undergo a full pre assessment to ensure that your skin type is fully assessed and to be accurate about your medical history. This particular procedure might not be the right treatment for you. It is crucial that the Doctor does a full History and Physical Examination and listens to your concerns. It very important to understand the individual needs of each patient because one procedure could work on one patient and then not another.
Each patient’s condition is carefully evaluated and the best treatment(s) are chosen to ensure an optimal outcome. Treatments are performed by Dr. Gary who has extensive cosmetic dermatology experience and training. This allows the Doctor to offer top-quality services in every area of the cosmetic dermatology field, while ensuring patients safety and satisfaction.
New York Dermatology by Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Gary Rothfeld is a board certified NYC Dermatologist with a New York City office in Manhattan, New York providing expert skin care, dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology services. A Park Avenue practice with an international reputation in general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology.
I personally see every new patient who visits our office. I am not just a physician, I am a Board Certified Dermatologist. My goal is, quite simply, to provide the type of dermatology care which I would seek for my own family. This is a very important point, since physicians often use the phrase "Doctor's Doctor" to refer to those individuals who typically are selected by physicians themselves for personal care. I am confident that my practice fully meets that definition. This is the type of 5-star care and service that our patients expect, deserve and receive. I treat every patient the way I would want to be treated: with courtesy, dignity and respect. I carefully listen to their hair and skin-care concerns and offer a variety of options including a treatment plan that I believe will give them the best results
Dr Gary sees every patient himself and believes in personalized care. The Doctor does not employ any physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or other physician substitutes to do his treatment. He sees every patient himself at every visit.
A significant percentage of my Dermatology Conditions are diagnosed on listening to medical history of the patient alone, a further percentage on examination and the remainder on further investigation and my patients teach me the rest. It is clear to me that history and examination skills remain at the very core of my dermatology practice. Older Dermatologists like myself rely on history and physical to a greater degree than the younger dermatologists. I think that the pendulum has swung too far towards all these cosmetic procedures where the younger dermatologists are just doing cosmetic procedures and not listening to their patients. This is an important point because if the Dermatologist does not spend enough time with the patient the cosmetic procedures will not work.
